About Christienne F. Coates, M.D.
Dr. Coates is a Board-certified ophthalmologist and a member of the following organizations: the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Connecticut State Medical Society, the Fairfield County Medical Association, the Greenwich Physicians Association, the New York Oculofacial and Oculoplastic Society, the New England Oculoplastic Society, and the Women’s Medical Association of Fairfield County.

Dr. Coates and her husband, Jack Hergenrother, have four children who are currently or have been educated in the Ridgefield Public School systems. Dr. Coates has been involved in a variety of community activities, including the RHS Cross Country and Track & Field Booster Club, and the Farmingville Elementary School PTA.

Set Up A Telehealth Appointment
If you are an established patient, you can book a telehealth appointment with Dr. Coates. Please fill out the form below and an RO staff member will follow up with your appointment details.
Following the scheduling of your appointment, you will receive an email from Dr. Coates through doxy.me, a confidential and safe telemedicine site.
RO asks that all patients pay for emergency or after hours telehealth appointments prior to the appointment with Dr. Coates. You can do so by going to the "Order Online" tab of this website and use PayPal or venmo (@Ridgefield-Ophthalmology) at checkout.

Emergency appointments are available for established patients. If you have been a patient of Ridgefield Ophthalmology before and are experiencing an eye emergency, please call our office.
